Abstract

Janera Leather is a startup that addresses the problem of leather-industry waste, particularly leftover cowhide pieces that are often considered worthless and discarded or sold cheaply. In fact, these leftover cowhide pieces have strong, flexible, and durable characteristics that almost resemble intact leather. Although they are only in pieces, they retain high utility and aesthetic value. This problem prompted Janera Leather to develop a functional, valuable fashion accessory design using a creative, efficient approach. This design aims to create competitive, entrepreneurial products that meet the needs of active women aged 20-40. The research process involved conducting literature reviews, observing competitors, interviewing target markets and craftsmen, and distributing questionnaires. The design employs the Collin Clipson method, the Business Model Canvas (BMC), the 4P + 3P marketing strategy, and the SCAMPER creative method. The patchwork technique is applied to unite leather pieces into unique, attractive, and exclusive products.
